This small brown-glazed jug is a beautiful example of traditional Welsh craftsmanship, handmade by Ewenny Pottery in South Wales. With its warm, earthy tones and distinctive twisted handle, it’s a piece that celebrates both form and function.
Based in the village of Ewenny, near Bridgend, there has been pottery made there for over 300 years. The pottery became known for its rustic, utilitarian pieces made from locally sourced clay, and its characterful glazes and hand-thrown shapes continue to be loved by collectors today.
The jug’s asymmetrical handle is a signature Ewenny detail that makes it feel instantly special. Use it as a mini vase with a few flower sprigs from the garden, or simply style it on a shelf as a nod to heritage pottery and timeless design.
Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
