A coastal classic, but with a twist. This vintage ceramic dish from Dartmouth Pottery features the brand’s iconic wave and shell design, finished in an unusually striking green glaze with a shimmering iridescent sheen. It's a rare variation that makes this piece even more special. We estimate it was made between 1960 and 1980.
Dartmouth Pottery, based in Devon, was known for its decorative ceramics throughout the 20th century and was particularly celebrated for its maritime and natural motifs as well as the iconic 'gurgle fish jugs'. This dish is a beautiful example of their craftsmanship.
Perfect on a living room shelf as a decorative detail, or repurpose it as a statement soap dish for a bit of vintage charm in the bathroom. A brilliant piece of British pottery history that brings a hint of seaside elegance wherever it goes.
